My goal for Diverso Photography is to create works of art centered around the LGBTQ+ community and those of alternative lifestyles/interests. After moving to California from a small town on Long Island, I have met some wonderful and interesting people. From drag performers to everyday college students, I found that every person has certain qualities that make them unique. I enjoy creating images that explore these characteristics. What pushed me into exploring diversity in my photos was my exposure to the drag scene when I met my husband in 2017, who himself practices drag under the stage name Rhea Della Vera. Using analog and digital photography as my medium, capturing at least one stellar image of a performer became vital to me. I want to showcase the different styles and aesthetics each performer has. After photographing drag performers, I discovered I wanted to use this same mentality and show how the everyday person can be just as intriguing. Using my vision, I hope to leave a positive impact on my clients, myself, and the world around me.
