My name is William Rivera and I'm a photographer specializing in LGBTQ+ portraiture in Southern California. I began practicing photography after enrolling in film photography courses at Newfield High School. In 2014, I moved from New York to California to continue pursuing my interest in photography. I took two photography courses at Riverside City College to expand my skill set and meet others with similar interests. In 2017, I began working at VIP Nightclub, an LGBTQ+ nightclub in Riverside, CA, which hosts drag shows all year round. Due to working around the drag scene and my husband being a drag performer himself, I started practicing portraiture within this community. In 2022, I earned a BA in Digital Photography at Southern New Hampshire University while continuing to build my brand, Diverso Photography with a focus on drag performers. However, I enjoy capturing images of people from all backgrounds to celebrate diversity and inclusion within society.
